Introduction to factoring. We begin a new unit with an overview of factoring and a focus on factoring using the Greatest Common Factor (GCF).

Important note on Downloading Changes:  If you do not have powerpoint on your computer, you can now download PDF versions of the class summaries, reviews, or any other powerpoint presentation posted here.

If you do not have powerpoint, then you can either download the free powerpoint viewer, or Open Office
My recommendation is to download the Open Office suite of programs and not deal with the crash happy power point viewer.

Monday's screenshot is below.  The PDF version is here, the powerpoint version here.

As the pass will occur during the daytime here, this is the only way to view the huge space rock in real time.

Tuesday's Teaser: Ratios

Today's teaser tests your knowledge of ratios. As is the norm, first five finishing (correctly) and emailing the answer receive 10 bonus points, or, suggest something else, and we'll see if we can work it out.

Here's the teaser:

If $15.20 is divided among Andrew, Joseph, and Samantha so that Joseph has one more dollar than Andrew and Samantha has $2.70 more than Joseph, how much does each individual receive?

Good Luck!
